Job summary

Sikorsky Aircraft Australia Limited (SAAL), a Lockheed Martin company, seeks a General Manager to lead the SAAL portfolio, drive growth, performance and digital transformation in NSW. Based in the Shoalhaven region, the GM reports to the executive team and partners with customers and suppliers.

You will set strategy, oversee MRO and logistics, deliver cost, schedule and technical performance, and advance capability development while fostering a culture of trust and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a portfolio of large development, production, or sustainment programs ($500M+).
• Tertiary qualification in a related discipline.

Job description

The Opportunity

We have a unique opportunity as the General Manager (GM) for Sikorsky Aircraft Australia Limited (SAAL) a Lockheed Martin company, widely regarded as Australia’s leading rotary wing support organisation.

Dedicated to providing full sustainment solutions, training and end to end logistics support for the Royal Australian Navy's fleet of MH-60R Seahawk helicopters, this role is based in the beautiful Shoalhaven Region in NSW.

As the GM you will be responsible for setting the SAAL portfolio growth strategy, driving program performance, advancing digital transformation, and delivering on financial commitments.

Ensuring a culture of belonging, trust and transparency for all employees whilst maintaining strong positive relationships with boith internal and external customers is key.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and control SAAL MRO and Logistics Operational Excellence
• Ensure the delivery of cost, schedule, and technical performance of the SAAL MRO and contracted requirements
• Develop and implement the strategic plan for expanded operations and progressive capability development
• Align the organisation to optimize program delivery
• Developing a realistic and closeable opportunity pipeline
• Actively participate and support new business capture activities

What you'll bring

• You will have proven extensive strategic experience managing a portfolio of domestic and international large-scale development, production, and/or sustainment programs ($500M+). Ideally you will hold Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline from a recognised institution, and/or expert relevant experience, as well as European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA); Defence Aviation Safety Authority (DASA) and Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) qualifications to hold the Accountable Manager Role and Responsibilities.
• Demonstrated business acumen and understanding of program financial measurements including Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
• Proven capability in building effective customer relationships
• Strategic thought leader with proven experience developing and executing growth strategies
