WHO YOU ARE

You are a senior executive with extensive experience overseeing complex construction and development projects from concept through completion. You understand how each decision from feasibility to financing, design, procurement shapes the commercial and community outcome.

You take ownership for driving development outcomes from front-end design through to completion. This is a hands‑on role that will suit candidates who have a strong development and project management skillsets and an ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders, contractors and a diverse range of consultants.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Business/Commerce;
  • Over 10‑15 years’ leadership experience across high‑rise, civil, and residential developments.
  • Proven record of success managing full development lifecycles from site identification, acquisition, and feasibility through approvals, construction, and sales.
  • Deep commercial and financial acumen; demonstrated success in feasibility modelling, investment structuring, and project optimisation.
  • Strong grasp of planning, town planning approvals, development applications, and compliance frameworks.
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills, engaging effectively with internal and external stakeholders such as subcontractors, consultants, regulators, and community representatives.
  • Expertise in WHS, quality assurance, and environmental compliance across major developments.
  • Strategic, results‑driven leader skilled at inspiring teams and translating vision into tangible, high-performance outcomes.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Provide strategic leadership across DCOH’s development portfolio, driving diversification, profitability, and long‑term growth.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle from site acquisition, due diligence, feasibility, and design through town planning approvals, financing, procurement, construction, and sales.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure role clarity, timely decisions, and alignment between commercial, technical, and design objectives.
  • Scope and prioritise development opportunities; assess financial feasibility, capital structures, and risk profiles to support strong investment decisions.
  • Oversee project reporting, quality assurance, and performance tracking to maintain transparency across each phase.
  • Integrate sustainability, governance, and innovation through design and delivery excellence.
  • Lead tender selection, contract negotiation, and project commissioning, ensuring optimal commercial and operational outcomes.
  • Cultivate partnerships and strategic alliances that expand DCOH’s market presence and reinforce its reputation as a trusted development partner.
  • Champion a culture of integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement, empowering teams and strengthening community relationships.
