The Role

As General Manager, you’ll take the lead on transforming a major industrial site in Albury into a next-generation AI compute campus. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity where you’ll bring together complex projects, site operations, people and stakeholders to deliver a landmark infrastructure development. With end-to-end site accountability, you’ll drive safe, compliant and commercially disciplined delivery while turning an ambitious vision into operational reality.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Take ownership of overall site performance, leading safety, operations, environmental compliance, budgets and delivery outcomes across a complex brownfield redevelopment.
  • Direct multiple concurrent projects, coordinating contractors, project managers and site activities to achieve key milestones safely, on time and within budget.
  • Lead site governance, regulatory engagement and stakeholder relationships, working closely with local authorities, contractors and neighbouring businesses.
  • Build and lead a high-performing site team, establishing clear accountabilities, strong operating processes and a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to manage risks, resolve critical issues and provide clear reporting on progress, costs and strategic decisions.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Senior managerial experience leading large industrial, construction or brownfield redevelopment sites, such as mills, refineries, mines, ports or comparable infrastructure facilities.
  • A strong track record in site operations, project integration, contractor management, safety and environmental compliance, including regulatory reporting.
  • Proven financial and commercial capability, with experience managing site budgets, procurement, cost control and delivery against complex programmes.
  • Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and managing relationships with regulators, local authorities, contractors and senior executives.
  • A decisive, solutions-focused leadership style, strong executive communication skills and the ability to navigate competing priorities in a complex, high-stakes environment.
  • Experience in data centres or critical infrastructure is advantageous, as is a willingness to be based in or relocate to Albury.
