Kollab has grown from a small start-up into one of Australia's most exciting lifestyle brands, built on stylish and functional everyday essentials. Founded in 2014, the business has carved out a unique position in the market through bold prints, practical products, and creative collaborations. From an initial launch of just seven bags, Kollab now operates at scale with warehousing in Rosebud, Victoria, and a strong and loyal customer base across both e-commerce (60%) and wholesale (40%). With sights set on doubling our revenue and sustainable long-term expansion, this is a pivotal time in Kollab's journey.
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially minded General Manager with Marketing and eCommerce expertise to partner closely with our founder, Hayley, who will lead with new prints and product development and collaborations, for an initial fixed term of 12 months. This role is based in Rosebud with some WFH flexibility, this could be attractive for someone wanting to commit to 4 or 5 days a week. This role will provide the leadership, structure, and operational focus necessary to bridge the gap between the Founder's creative vision and day-to-day business execution. You'll take accountability for ensuring Kollab runs effectively and profitably on a day-to-day basis, while laying the foundations for the next phase of growth.
In this role, you will be responsible for optimising the performance of our e-commerce store, ensuring customer experience, sales, and margin outcomes continue to strengthen. You will review team capability both locally and offshore, implement clear KPIs, and provide consistent leadership to drive accountability. You'll also lead a full review of Kollab's technology, systems, and operational processes – ensuring our logistics, fulfilment, and reporting frameworks are set up to scale. Importantly, you'll create a three-year roadmap of the people, systems, and structures required to deliver sustainable growth, while preparing the business for further international expansion.
Driving profitability and performance of the e-commerce store through digital optimisation, customer experience, and margin improvement.
Evaluating the team and structure to ensure the right resources are in place to execute our goals.
Setting clear KPIs and strengthening accountability across all staff.
Conducting a full review of systems and technology (B2C and B2B) to support growth at scale.
Streamlining operational workflows from overseas supply to Rosebud warehousing, driving efficiency and cost control.
Developing a three-year roadmap to position the business for exponential growth and eventual international expansion.
This is a hands-on role that requires a balance of commercial acumen, operational rigour, and leadership capability. The ideal candidate will bring experience in scaling consumer or retail businesses, a strong grasp of e-commerce and marketing and a proven ability to lead small but dynamic teams towards ambitious goals. An understanding of wholesale lifestyle products would be an advantage.
