Quantium is seeking a Data Scientist to design and deliver GenAI solutions for Australia’s largest organisations. This hands‑on role focuses on production‑grade AI applications from design through client handover, leveraging Python, LangChain, and cloud technologies.

You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to solve complex problems using LLMs, ML, and modern cloud tools, while applying rigorous software engineering practices and client‑facing collaboration.

Qualificações

• Degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, engineering, or equivalent demonstrated capability in data science or AI/ML.
• Solid Python programming skills with good software engineering practices — testing, code quality, and version control.
• Practical exposure to GenAI/LLM applications and frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to building production‑grade GenAI and LLM applications using Python and modern AI frameworks.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerisation tools to support delivery of AI solutions.
• Apply a range of AI approaches from classical ML to LLM prompts, workflows, and agents.
• Support the design of evaluation frameworks and observability metrics for solution quality and performance.
• Develop APIs and build data pipelines using SQL, DBT, and orchestration tools.
• Collaborate with clients and domain experts to understand problems and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team technical standards.
• Identify and communicate technical risks and trade-offs clearly and proactively.
