Job summary

L.J.S Building Group Pty Ltd in Geelong region is seeking a qualified Carpenter to deliver residential and commercial carpentry across Geelong and surrounding areas. The Ballarat base requires travel to job sites and occasional overnight stays, with work available on-site and on larger projects.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Carpentry or completed carpentry apprenticeship.
• Construction Induction Card (white card).
• Current full Australian driver's licence.
• Minimum 3 years' post-trade experience in residential and/or commercial carpentry.
• Live in or within commuting distance of Geelong, and be willing to travel to Ballarat and other sites, including overnight stays.
• Ability to read and interpret building plans and specifications.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual work, including lifting and working at heights.
• Own basic hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Wall and roof framing for new homes, extensions and renovations
• Installing doors, windows, architraves, skirting and other fix-out items
• Building decks, pergolas, verandahs and stairs
• Installing kitchens, cabinetry, wardrobes and shelving
• Flooring installation, including timber and sub-floor framing
• Repairs and maintenance on existing structures
• Steel and timber stud partition walls and bulkheads
• Suspended ceiling installation
• Commercial door and hardware installation, including fire-rated doorsets
• Shop, office, retail and hospitality fit-outs
