Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 9 West 2 Drug Health/Gastroenterology unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. The position is Permanent Part Time (32 hours per week) with an hourly rate of $41.22 to $57.88 plus Superannuation.

You will join a dynamic inpatient team and support patients through withdrawal and complex gastroenterology care. The role requires current NMBA registration, evidence-informed practice, and strong communication within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Ability to apply evidence-informed practice and critical thinking.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/spoken communication within a multidisciplinary team.
• Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centred nursing care informed by best evidence.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care with the team.
• Support patients through withdrawal and complex gastroenterology/liver conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to achieve health outcomes.
