Job summary

Zinfra is seeking a Gas Service Technician to support gas networks and facilities across the ACT and Nowra region. This field-based role involves independent work inspecting, maintaining and troubleshooting critical gas infrastructure to keep homes and businesses connected.

Qualified plumbers receive training to transition into utilities. The position offers a stable roster, a company vehicle for work, overtime opportunities and long-term job security.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Plumbing or recognised plumbing trade qualification.
• Experience in plumbing, drainage, utilities, maintenance or underground infrastructure.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.
• White Card, Asbestos Awareness and Silica Awareness training.
• Willingness to participate in after-hours on-call roster and occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance across gas networks and facilities.
• Diagnose faults and implement practical solutions to maintain network reliability.
• Conduct inspections and identify defects within gas assets.
• Complete risk assessments and follow safety standards and procedures.
• Support metering activities during peak periods as required.
• Participate in occasional interstate travel for training and operational requirements.
