Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking an experienced Gardening and Mowing Team Leader to oversee day-to-day maintenance of premium Springfield Lakes sites. This hands-on leadership role requires you to organise a team, deliver high-quality garden and grounds maintenance, and maintain strong client relationships.

You will plan workloads, supervise mowing, hedge trimming and related tasks, operate mowers and equipment, and ensure safety and presentation standards are met.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial gardening or horticulture.
• Experience leading a team or acting in a Team Leader capacity.
• Strong knowledge of gardening, mowing and general horticultural maintenance.
• Confident operating push and ride-on mowers, brush cutters and other equipment.
• Experience with pruning, weed control, spraying and general garden maintenance.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate daily workloads.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in presentation.
• Ability to lead by example and work hands-on alongside your team.
• White Card and valid driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting a team delivering gardening and grounds maintenance across premium Springfield Lakes sites
• Planning and allocating daily workloads to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Working hands-on with the team across mowing, brushcutting, hedging, pruning and general garden maintenance
• Operating push and ride-on mowers, brush cutters, hedgers and other gardening equipment
• Inspecting sites and identifying maintenance requirements and opportunities for improvement
• Monitoring team performance, site presentation and quality of work
• Communicating with clients and facility staff to understand requirements and provide updates
• Ensuring equipment is maintained, work areas are safe and tasks are completed in line with company procedures
• Providing guidance, support and on-the-job development to team members
• Taking ownership of site presentation and ensuring Green by Nature's standards are consistently maintained
