Job summary

Green by Nature in Canberra is seeking a casual horticulture worker for the summer season, up to 38 hours per week. You’ll join mowing and horticulture crews to maintain open spaces using a range of machinery and hand tools.

You’ll bring mowing, edging, weeding, and hedging skills, a White Card, and a willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check and National Police Check. Uniform and PPE are provided, and an Employee Assistance Program supports wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Recent hands-on experience in a similar role with skills in mowing, edging, hedging and weeding.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Physically fit and able to safely lift heavy objects when required.
• White Card and willingness to obtain Working with Children Check and National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Join our mowing and horticulture crews to maintain and enhance open spaces in Canberra.
• Operate a variety of machinery and hand tools.
• Mow, detail, weed, whipper snip, and blow as part of routine maintenance.
