JD Sports is seeking a Manager in Training to develop leadership for higher-profile, fast-moving stores in Australia. You will work with Store Managers, Area Managers and senior leaders to lead growing teams and drive exceptional customer experiences.

The programme prepares you to manage a larger-format site, with mentorship, real-world exposure, and KPI-driven performance in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience and ability to influence others.
• Commercial awareness with a results-driven mindset.
• Comfort with KPIs, sales targets and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead higher-volume store environments with energy and consistency.
• Grow understanding of sales performance, conversion, ATV, UPT, wage management and profitability at scale.
• Attract, recruit, onboard, and develop JD talent for larger teams.
• Apply standards across visual merchandising, inventory management, and operations.
• Participate in structured development and leadership training to manage more complex stores.
