This is more than a customer service role. You'll be there for people during some of the most significant moments of their lives, helping families feel supported and ensuring their loved one's farewell is handled with dignity.
Based in Maclean, you'll play an important role in supporting local families and building relationships throughout the surrounding community. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of their day and making a genuine difference locally.
While you'll be the main point of contact at the Maclean location, you'll remain an important part of the wider Grafton team. Strong communication is key, as you'll work closely with colleagues remotely, keeping connected, sharing updates and reaching out for support when needed.
You'll need to be comfortable working independently, as well as working respectfully with deceased persons and supporting families experiencing grief and loss.
If you've worked in hospitality, aged care, community services, healthcare, retail, events or another people-focused environment, your experience could translate incredibly well.
Most importantly, you're a good people person who is comfortable taking ownership and working independently.
You may be someone who:
Funeral industry experience is welcome, but not essential. We're open to people from a range of backgrounds who have the right attitude, transferable skills and confidence to learn.
Although you'll work independently in Maclean, you won't be expected to figure everything out on your own. Your training will include time with the experienced team in Grafton, where you'll shadow colleagues and learn the processes, systems and practical requirements of the role.
Perhaps you've spent years working in aged care or community services and enjoy building relationships with people in your local area.
Perhaps you've worked in hospitality, customer service or events and know how to stay organised, take initiative and look after people when emotions are high.
Or perhaps you're looking for a more meaningful career where you can work independently while still being part of a supportive team.
If you're compassionate, community-minded and confident working autonomously, and you'd find it a privilege to support grieving families, we'd love to hear from you.
