OPPORTUNITY: Permanent full-time
THE ROLE

Looking for less time on the road, more variety in your work and a better work/life balance? We've got you.

Join our Facilities team and work across our Melbourne CBD Scape student accommodation portfolio, helping keep our properties safe, comfortable and running smoothly.

We're bringing our plumbing services in-house, making this an exciting opportunity to become the first Plumber in our VIC Scape team. You'll have the opportunity to build something from the ground up, while working across our Scape portfolio of properties with the support of our experienced FM team.

You'll be responsible for preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs across plumbing and hydraulic systems, working closely with FM's and other trades to keep our buildings operating at their best.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and diagnose plumbing issues, repairing or replacing pipes, taps and other components
  • Service and maintain hot water systems, including repairs to water supply and waste lines
  • Carry out CCTV drain inspections and respond to emergency plumbing issues as part of a 7-day on-call roster
  • Ensure all plumbing installation, repair and commissioning work is completed in accordance with AS/NZS 3500 (Plumbing and Drainage) standards
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs and up-to-date hydraulic drawings
  • Work closely with Facilities Managers and other maintenance trades to plan works and minimise disruption to residents
ABOUT YOU
  • A current VIC Licensed Plumber registration and Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Experience providing plumbing services in hotel, residential, commercial or mixed-use buildings, with knowledge of hydraulic systems, water distribution and waste systems
  • Proficiency in reading hydraulic schematics, as-builts and technical manuals, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work unsupervised
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across teams and follow directions
  • Additional certifications in high-risk work, working at heights or confined spaces are advantageous (not essential), along with a current First Aid Certificate and valid driver's licence
  • Ability to participate in a 7-day on-call roster, responding promptly to emergency breakdowns and urgent repairs outside normal working hours
