Job summary

The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Victoria is seeking a motivated Patient Transport Officer to join our Bendigo team in a full-time role. You will provide non-emergency patient transport, deliver safe, compassionate care, and work with a partner clinician in a supportive, non‑emergency environment.

You will receive structured training, have access to salary packaging options, and contribute to RFDS’s rural and remote health mission across Victoria while building valuable frontline

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: Cert III in Non‑Emergency Patient care or Diploma of Nursing.
• Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic) students may apply on completion of second year subject units.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessment and intervention during road transport.
• Deliver safe, compassionate care aligned with RFDS clinical guidelines and NEPT regulations.
• Monitor patients and evaluate responses to treatment en‑route.
• Work collaboratively with a partner clinician in a team‑based model.

Education

Cert III in Non‑Emergency Patient Care

Diploma of Nursing

Bachelor of Health Science (Paramedic) - eligible for application
