Job summary

NSW Health is seeking two permanent Hospital Assistant Grade 2 positions based at Orange Health Service, NSW. The roles are 38 hours per week with a permanent appointment and include salary packaging options.

You will help keep our health service clean, safe and running smoothly by cleaning patient areas and shared spaces, assisting with patient support, and moving equipment such as beds and wheelchairs. You must be reliable, physically fit and able to work in a team.

Qualifications

• You will need to be physically fit, have a caring attitude and communicate clearly.
• You should be able to stay calm in busy or urgent situations and work well with others.
• A NSW Working with Children check or willingness to obtain is required.
• Ability and willingness to work shifts, rotating roster including weekends and public holidays; hold a current NSW driver’s licence for work purposes.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient areas and shared spaces.
• Follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• May assist in moving equipment such as beds and wheelchairs.
