Job summary
Interex Custom Joinery is seeking a skilled Carpenter for its Prestons, Sydney operation. The role covers workshop manufacturing and site installation of custom joinery, cabinetry and shopfitting for residential and commercial projects.
Ideal candidates hold AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV in Carpentry with at least 12 months' relevant experience, and can read drawings and work safely with hand & power tools.
Qualifications
- AQF Certificate III in Carpentry or Certificate IV or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 12 months' recent experience as a Carpenter/Joiner or similar role.
- Experience manufacturing and installing detailed joinery in residential or commercial projects.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural/shop drawings and project specs.
- Proficiency in using carpentry hand and power tools safely.
Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings and specifications to determine measurements and installation requirements.
- Manufacture and assemble cabinetry and detailed joinery in the workshop.
- Install joinery across residential and commercial fit-out projects.
- Carry out cabinet making and factory production activities for joinery projects.
- Cut, shape, assemble and fit timber components to required tolerances.
- Check site dimensions and adjust installations for correct fit.
