Job summary

Room10 in Potts Point, NSW 2011, is seeking a Fulltime Barista to join our vibrant café team. You will craft high‑quality espresso drinks, engage customers and maintain a welcoming atmosphere during busy periods.

This role requires strong latte art, milk frothing, and safe cafe operations, with flexibility for early mornings, weekends and public holidays. Experience in a specialty coffee environment is valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Barista in a busy cafe or hospitality setting.
• Sound knowledge of espresso techniques and milk steaming procedures.
• Good understanding of different coffee varieties, origins and flavour profiles.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work a full-time roster including mornings, weekends and public holidays.
• SCA certification or specialty coffee experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks to high standards.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines and café equipment safely.
• Take orders accurately and process payments via POS.
• Keep counter, work areas and equipment clean and hygienic.
• Greet customers warmly and offer personalised recommendations.
• Build relationships with regulars and foster a welcoming atmosphere.
• Restock supplies and assist with stock rotation.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth service during peak times.
• Support with food prep and presentation as required.
• Follow all health, safety and food handling regulations.
