Job summary

XPT Software Australia is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer based in Sydney to join our delivery teams. You will work across frontend and backend, building reusable components and REST APIs using React.js, Node.js and Express.js, with Python basics as needed.

You will contribute to the full application lifecycle, collaborate with product owners and testers, participate in Agile ceremonies, and help enhance performance, security and maintainability across environments.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Full Stack Developer across frontend and backend.
• Strong React.js for frontend and Node.js with Express.js for backend/API.
• Basic Python knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications.
• Develop frontend components with React.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Build backend services and REST APIs with Node.js and Express.js.
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs to support application functionality.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend services and third-party APIs.
• Develop clean, maintainable, reusable, and standards-compliant code following established development practices.
• Troubleshoot application issues across frontend, backend, and integration layers.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and defect resolution to ensure application quality.
• Work with databases and implement appropriate data access and integration mechanisms.
• Support build, deployment, and release activities across different application environments.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, estimation, and sprint delivery.
• Contribute to application performance, security, reliability, and maintainability improvements.
