Job summary

Halcyon Knights in Melbourne is seeking a Full Stack Developer (PHP / React) to join a hybrid, permanent team. You will build and extend scalable web applications, focusing on the PHP/React stack and MySQL data solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

You will design REST APIs, work with Linux, NGINX and the LEMP stack, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines. Prior experience with AWS is a plus, and a genuine interest in emerging tech and AI-enabled features is welcome.

• Strong front-end experience with React and JavaScript, delivering responsive UI/UX.
• Solid database design using MySQL and data modeling best practices.

The Tech

The core technology stack includes PHP, React and MySQL, supported by AWS infrastructure. There's a strong focus on modernising existing applications, improving architecture and introducing new technologies, including AI-powered features and automation.

You'll work alongside experienced Engineers and collaborate with teams, gaining experience with different systems, technical challenges and projects.

We're looking for someone with a mix of the following:

• Strong commercial experience developing applications using PHP
• Full stack development experience with React, JavaScript and MySQL
• Experience working with Linux, NGINX and the LEMP stack
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs
• Exposure to AWS, ideally including EC2, RDS and S3
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices
• A genuine interest in emerging technologies and continuous learning

Experience with AI integrations or platform modernisation would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
