About the Role

As a Fuel Pricing Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting commercial performance through disciplined, data-driven fuels pricing decisions and strong pricing execution. You will work closely with Sales, Finance, Supply Chain and Business Performance teams to identify margin, revenue, volume and growth opportunities while ensuring pricing governance, compliance, control and execution accuracy.

This role offers the opportunity to influence business outcomes through market insights, competitor analysis, cost and performance review, pricing recommendations and digital analytics. You will develop deep expertise in fuel market dynamics, pricing tools, margin-volume trade-offs and commercial decision-making in a fast-paced, margin-driven business environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, product costs, customer pricing, volume and margin performance to identify risks, opportunities and pricing actions.
  • Review pricing outcomes, discount structures, margin trends and performance variances to identify deviations and recommend practical corrective actions.
  • Partner with Sales, Supply, Finance and Business Performance stakeholders to provide commercial insights and decision support.
  • Prepare clear, data-driven recommendations through reports, dashboards, pricing analysis and presentations for business stakeholders.
  • Support pricing governance, compliance, controls and audit requirements while maintaining pricing accuracy, documentation and integrity.
  • Maintain strong data integrity across pricing tools, reports and systems by applying validation checks, investigating anomalies and supporting timely issue resolution.
  • Leverage digital tools, analytics and continuous improvement opportunities to improve pricing effectiveness, process consistency and business performance visibility.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in pricing, commercial analytics, business analysis, revenue management, finance, supply chain analytics or a related commercial role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convert complex data into clear commercial insights and practical recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI are required; experience with SAP, ERP or pricing systems is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across functions and influence decisions.
  • High attention to detail, with a strong focus on pricing accuracy, governance, controls and execution discipline.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong commercial acumen and a data-driven mindset.
  • Ability to translate market, competitor, cost and performance data into actionable pricing recommendations.
  • Sound judgement in balancing margin, revenue, volume and customer outcomes.
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on governance, compliance, data integrity and execution accuracy.
  • Self-leadership, ownership and the ability to work independently in a dynamic business environment.
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for digital tools, analytics, process improvement and pricing capability development.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in fuels, energy, convenience retail, supply chain, finance, revenue management or other margin-driven industries will be highly regarded.
