Job summary

PreviousNext Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced front-end developer to join our team in Melbourne. You will work on TypeScript-based front-end projects using React or Vue.js, with a strong emphasis on responsive, mobile-first design and clean code practices.

You will collaborate with developers, clients and designers, participate in Agile ceremonies, and contribute to maintaining accurate time logs for billing. Occasional travel to client sites is required, with expenses covered.

Qualifications

• Experience with Typescript in front‑end projects.
• Proficient with React or Vue.js frameworks.
• Strong responsive and mobile‑first development skills.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Experience with Git branching workflows and PRs.
• 5+ years in front‑end development.
• Familiarity with WCAG 2.2 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and online meetings
• Communicate with developers, clients, designers and other non-technical people via Slack and project management tools
• Travel to client offices for occasional client meetings (expenses covered)
• Attend bi-annual company funded summit and team get together

About the role

PreviousNext is looking for an experienced, self motivated front‑end developer to join our team.

About you

Excellent communication skills: able to communicate with developers, clients, designers and other non-technical people in both written and oral forms

High degree of self-discipline and professionalism in updating tasks, communicating with the team, and logging time spent

Experience with Typescript

Experience with front‑end JS frameworks such as React, Vue.js

Solid understanding of responsive and mobile‑first development

Keen interest in best practice and modern technologies

Experience using Git branching workflows, and pull requests

Ideally 5+ years of working in front‑end development

Desirable: Understanding of the WCAG 2.2 standard for Web Accessibility, and experience applying it in practice

Key responsibilities
