Job summary

Pinsent Masons Vario is expanding its legal bench in Melbourne, seeking a front-end construction lawyer with strong experience in construction and commercial contracts. The role focuses on advising project teams, drafting and negotiating D&C, EPC and construct-only contracts, and handling subcontractor and JV arrangements.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years' post-qualification experience, with in-house or top-tier law firm exposure, and be adept at risk assessment,

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 PQE in-house or within a law firm
• Ability to draft, review and negotiate a broad range of construction and commercial agreements (e.g. D&C contracts, EPC and construct-only contracts, Subcontractor agreements, Consultancy agreements, Supply and procurement contracts, JV arrangements)
• Ability to advise project teams on tender submissions, contract risk allocation, and procurement strategies
• Experience in supporting project delivery teams throughout the contract lifecycle
• Ability to identify and manage legal, commercial, and contractual risks across major projects
