Centurion in Queensland is seeking a hands-on Yard Hand/Warehouse operator to safeguard freight handling and ensure safe, accurate operations. You will work with various freight types and forklift sizes, focusing on load restraint, accuracy, and teamwork.

The role requires LF Forklift Licence, experience with general and oversize freight, and strong safety practices. It offers immediate start, permanent full-time employment, and multiple shifts with good pay and perks.

Qualifications

• Must hold LF Forklift Licence with practical experience.
• Experience handling general and oversize freight.
• Strong load restraint skills using ratchet straps, chains and binders.
• Previous yard hand or similar experience.
• Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team.
• RF scanner experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Operating counterbalance forklifts (2.5T, 7T & 16T).
• Handling general, ugly, palletised and oversize freight.
• Securing loads in line with Load Restraint Guide using ratchet straps, chains and binders.
• Scanning and tracking freight through all stages (received, staged, loaded & unloaded).
• Preparing outbound freight for safe and secure dispatch.
• Working with RF scanners to ensure accuracy and compliance.

As a Yard Hand/Warehouse operator, you’ll be at the heart of our yard operations, ensuring freight is handled safely, accurately, and efficiently. You’ll work with a variety of freight types and forklift sizes, playing a key role in keeping our operation moving.
