Job summary

Sidekicker is recruiting Freight Handlers for its Darra site, offering AM and PM shifts. You will perform manual handling and assist with loading and unloading, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates are reliable, physically fit, able to lift up to 20 kg and follow site safety protocols; a police check within 12 months and a drug and alcohol test may be required. Training and induction provided.

Job description

Freight Handlers needed in Darra ( AM & PM Shifts)

Our client is looking for Sidekicks to join their existing teams of Freight Handlers at their Darra location. Please note this work will be manual very labour intensive.

We are building a talent pool as we will be getting busier in the coming weeks and over summer and there will regular shifts available.

This role involves a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

*Manual sorting of parcels

*Loading parcels onto conveyers

*moving stock from pallets and placing into crates or onto conveyor

*Loading and unloading trucks and containers

*Packing ULD cages

*Use of a manual pallet jack and RF scanner

*Forklift duties (if you have a license - not essential)

AM Shifts: 5:30am - 11am

PM Shifts : 3.15pm - 8pm

Please note shifts time might be subject to change slightly

Requirements:

*A valid police check obtained within the last 12 months

*Drug and Alcohol Test

* Online Induction Training

*YELLOW Hi-vis vest with reflective stripes and steel capped boots

*Excellent communications skills, written and verbal

*Ability to lift up to 20kgs on a consistent basis, and to be on your feet for the duration of the shift.

*Willingness to follow all COVID-19 safety guidelines and recommendations

*Enthusiasm, and unafraid of hard work!

*Wiilling to undergo a full medical test including drug and alcohol testing
