Job summary

Qantas Freight is Australia’s largest independent air freight services business, moving thousands of shipments across 500 destinations globally. The Freight Compliance Lead works closely with the Freight Technology Lead and Product Owners to align business needs with cyber, privacy, audit compliance and resilience across Freight applications.

This permanent onsite role at our Mascot Campus focuses on product lifecycle for Freight products, managing risk, regulatory changes and security

Qualifications

• Experience in privacy, compliance, cyber and resilience across IT delivery environments.
• Ability to align product delivery plans with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with risk management, vulnerability management and security improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with modern delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and security-by-design concepts.

The Freight Compliance Lead works very closely with the Freight Technology Lead and Product Owners, business partners, wider technology domains and external parties to act as a conduit between the business and technology. A cross functional role, the Freight Compliance Lead has a primary focus on maintaining Freight Product and domain’s cyber, privacy, audit compliance and business and technology resilience for all Freight applications and systems. In addition to this, this role leads product lifecycle for Freight products and services, their underlying technology sub-systems and is accountable for aligning product delivery plans to enable the business to achieve their objectives and strategic outcomes – from concept through to operations.

You’ll have:

• 3+ years’ experience in the areas of Business or Systems Analysis, Product or IT Support or related disciplines, with a focus on Privacy, Compliance, Cyber and Resilience
• Experience with MDM and IT Technical Support preferred
• Stakeholder engagement and management skills
• Able to work cross-functionally and align business unit processes to enterprise business processes
• Analytical and critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Negotiation and conflict management skills
• Business acumen and knowledge
• Adaptability and innovation mindset
• Experience, on ensuring information confidentiality and protecting customers data
• Ability to reduce risk posture, work with suppliers and Cyber teams to implement security improvements by constantly assessing situation, evaluating and anticipating requirements
• Experience in security management practices, risk management, vulnerability management and penetration testing
• Exposure in non-functional design and testing to ensure products are secure by design and have appropriate level of resilience
• Knowledge of Air Cargo or Logistics business domain desirable
• Proven track record of operating in IT Delivery environments from concept to BAU
• Basic to Expert (varies by desired level) understanding and use of modern delivery frameworks and their methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, lean, design thinking, human-centred design, multivariate testing, continuous improvement, test automation and others
• Experience in Operations and / or working in ongoing product lifecycle
• Demonstrated technical expertise and stays up to date with regulatory and other compliance change in the technical area, and understands how they apply to Qantas
