Job summary

Hitek Steel Framing is a leading supplier and installer of prefabricated light gauge steel framing systems, delivering quality solutions for residential construction across Sydney and the South Coast.

We are seeking experienced Framing Carpenters to join our installation team. You will install prefabricated steel wall frames, floor systems and roof trusses on residential sites, reading drawings, and working with site supervisors to ensure safety and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Qualified Carpenter (Certificate III in Carpentry preferred).
• Experience installing residential wall frames and roof trusses (steel framing experience highly regarded).
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work effectively within a team.
• Current White Card.
• Current Australian driver's licence and reliable transport.
• Own carpentry tools.

Responsibilities

• Install prefabricated light gauge steel wall frames, floor systems and roof trusses.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and installation plans.
• Ensure frames are installed accurately and in accordance with engineering specifications.
• Work collaboratively with builders, site supervisors and fellow installers.
• Maintain a safe and organised worksite, complying with all WHS requirements.
• Complete installations efficiently while maintaining exceptional workmanship.

The Role

As a Framing Carpenter, you'll be responsible for installing prefabricated light gauge steel wall frames, floor systems and roof trusses on residential building sites. Working closely with our site supervisors and builders, you'll ensure installations are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
