Telnyx seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer in Sydney for a hybrid role. You will collaborate with enterprise customers across Australia, New Zealand, and APAC to architect and ship production systems on Telnyx's global network, spanning voice, messaging, AI, wireless, and edge compute.

We're looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team in Sydney. In this hybrid role, you'll work directly with enterprise and high-growth technology customers across Australia, New Zealand, and APAC to architect and ship production systems on Telnyx's global network — spanning voice, messaging, AI, wireless, and edge compute.
This isn't about demoing products; it's about building real solutions that work at scale.
You'll sit at the intersection of software engineering, AI infrastructure, telecommunications, and customer success — working directly with customer engineering and technical leadership teams to understand requirements, architect solutions, build integrations, and take them from POC through production.
A major focus will be helping customers deploy real-time AI and communications workloads, including AI Voice Assistants, LLM inference, open-weight models, and applications requiring low latency, reliability, and regional data processing.
This is a Sydney-based hybrid role with approximately 10–30% travel, primarily across Australia and New Zealand, with occasional travel elsewhere in APAC.
