Job summary

Talent Acquisition Group is seeking a cold store forklift operator at Melbourne Airport to support international cargo handling. You will load and unload aircraft units, manage manual handling tasks, and ensure pallets are secure with nets and shrink-wrap.

You will also move airfreight to trucks and operate hoists safely in a cold storage environment. The role requires forklift competency, freight handling experience, and a clean criminal record with the ability to pass ongoing drug and alcohol

About the Role

As a cold store forklift operator at Melbourne Airport, you’ll be an essential part of the team responsible for handling international cargo and keeping operations running smoothly. Your day-to-day will include:

• Operating a forklift to unload aircraft units
• Manual handling
• Removing cargo nets and shrink-wrap from pallets
• Loading airfreight onto trucks
• Operating hoists to safely manoeuvre aircraft units
• Working in a cold store
• Working with perishables & carcus's

Rosters & Pay

• Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:30pm
• Weekday rates: $33per hour, with applicable shift penalties
