Job summary

Melrina is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Sydney cold storage team. This hands-on role involves moving stock in chilled and freezer environments and ensuring orders are prepared for dispatch.

Based in Regents Park/Sydney, the role emphasises safety, accuracy, and teamwork. A current LF forklift licence and prior cold storage or food distribution experience are essential.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating forklifts to move, store and retrieve stock within our cold storage warehouse.


• Loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.


• Picking and preparing orders, checking products and quantities against paperwork.


• Maintaining stock rotation and assisting with stocktakes.


• Completing daily forklift pre-start checks and reporting faults or damage.


• Keeping work areas tidy, accessways clear and stock stored securely.


• Following site safety, food handling and hygiene procedures.

About you

We’re looking for someone who has:

• A current LF forklift licence and practical forklift operating experience.


• Previous experience in cold storage, warehousing or food distribution.


• Confidence working in chilled and freezer environments.


• Good attention to detail and clear communication skills.


• A reliable approach to attendance and a willingness to help the team.


• A strong focus on safety, particularly around pedestrians, racking and other mobile plant.

Reach truck experience will be highly regarded.
