Job summary

Roadmaster Refrigerated Transport in Prestons NSW is seeking a motivated Forklift Operator to load and unload trucks, check weights, and assist in stock control within the depot. Immediate start available and Saturday overtime may be required.

A strong safety mindset, warehousing knowledge, and good communication are essential. You will maintain a safe work environment, monitor fridge/freezer temperatures, and perform general warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year forklift operating experience.
• Good knowledge of warehousing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass a medical examination, including drug and alcohol testing.
• Strong safety mindset and thinking safe attitude.
• Experience in refrigeration transport and a valid truck license is highly regarded but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks as they arrive at the depot.
• Ensure loads are checked for mass against load plans.
• Identify and report damaged stock or pallets.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment.
• Monitor fridge/freezer temperatures within the depot warehouse / freezers.
• General warehouse and yard tasks.

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Forklift Operators to join our Prestons team. As a Forklift Operator, you will ensure trucks are loaded according to paperwork, assist in stock takes and perform other store person’s duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks as they arrive at the depot
• Ensure loads are checked for mass against load plans
• Identify and report damaged stock or pallets
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment
• Monitor fridge/freezer temperatures within the depot warehouse / freezers
• General warehouse and yard tasks

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Minimum one years’ experience operating Tine Forklifts
• Good knowledge of warehousing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to pass a medical examination, including drug and alcohol testing

• Experience in refrigeration transport and a valid truck license is highly regarded, but not essential
