Job summary

Driver Hire in Rocklea, QLD is seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to load and unload general freight in a busy yard. You will operate a counterbalance forklift, follow safety protocols and work as part of a professional team.

This Monday to Friday role offers day and afternoon shifts, overtime opportunities, an immediate start and potential pathway to permanent employment with a well-established freight forwarding company.

Qualifications

• LF Forklift Licence is required.
• Experience in road transport and freight industry.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers and curtain-sided vehicles.
• RF scanning systems experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of load restraint practices and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety and high attention to detail.

We are currently seeking experienced Counterbalance Forklift Drivers for a well-established general freight forwarding company based in Rocklea.

The Role

As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading general freight
• Loading and unloading curtain-sided trailers and trucks
• Working safely within a fast-paced transport environment
• Following load restraint and Chain of Responsibility requirements
• Assisting with general warehouse duties as required

This is a Monday to Friday position with overtime opportunities available.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current LF Forklift Licence
• Previous experience in the road transport and freight industry
• Experience loading and unloading trailers and curtain-sided vehicles
• Experience using RF scanning systems (desirable)
• Understanding of load restraint practices
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance and legislation
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
