Job summary

Laurent Bakery in Braeside, VIC is seeking a Forklift Driver for the freezer team on the 1pm-9pm shift. You will load/unload pallets, manage stock in cold storage, and help meet DIFOT targets while keeping the freezer area safe and clean.

The role requires a current forklift licence (counterbalance & high reach preferred), FMCG warehouse experience, strong communication, and teamwork in a -27°C environment.

Qualifications

• Current Forklift Licence, ideally with counterbalance and high reach.
• Previous warehouse experience in a FMCG environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethics and a positive attitude.
• Ability to be flexible under changing environment and workloads.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple processes.
• Initiative and question when in doubt.
• Ability to work as a team member and autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to load and unload pallets for delivery.
• Control and dispatch trucks.
• Store and manage products in cool rooms and freezers.
• Ensuring you have an understanding of stock levels and complete stock takes as required.
• Receipting of goods.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the freezer.
• Load refrigerated containers.
• Must have experience working in a freezer environment -27 degrees.
• Able to lift up to 25kgs.

About the Role

As a forklift driver in our freezer team, you will ensure both inbound and outbound goods are managed according to orders to ensure we meet our DIFOT targets and receive all products ordered. Your life will never be dull as our freezer team are always busy and willing to lend a hand to support each other and our amazing Freezer Manager!

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about forklifts, has organisation expertise and loves working in a supportive team. You will also thrive in a busy environment. Oh, and you must be tolerant of the cold as your job involves freezer work!
