Frontline Human Resources in Coburg North seeks a Forge Machine Operator to join a heavy manufacturing team. The role involves operating forge presses and related machinery in a physically demanding environment, loading components into dies and inspecting finished products.

We require prior experience with forge or heavy machinery, strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety. The position offers casual ongoing work, with a path to permanent employment and a stable manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Experience operating forge machinery, presses or heavy industrial machinery.
• Manufacturing, metalworking or heavy industry experience is highly regarded.
• Good mechanical aptitude and safety awareness.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Operate forge presses and metal-forming machinery.
• Set up and monitor machinery during production.
• Load and position metal components into dies.
• Remove and inspect finished forged components.
• Conduct basic quality and batch checks.
• Measure finished products to specifications.
• Handle and move steel components and materials.
• Perform general factory and production duties.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
