Job summary

Canberra Health Services (CHS) seeks an experienced Social Worker for the Dhulwa Mental Health Unit (DMHU), a 25-bed forensic facility. You will provide clinical assessments, social work interventions, family support and care coordination for patients with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a tertiary qualification in Social Work.
• Eligible for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration.
• Minimum of three years' post-qualification clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical assessment, social work interventions, family support and care coordination for consumers with complex mental health needs.
• Collaborate with carers, community services and government agencies to support rehabilitation and community reintegration.
• Contribute to supervision and development of students and junior staff.
• Apply sound clinical judgement within a forensic mental health setting.
