Job summary

G4S Australia and New Zealand is seeking an experienced Security Team Leader for Long Bay Forensic Hospital. This permanent, full-time role offers a fixed Monday to Friday roster from 07:30 to 15:30 and a pathway to leadership across our national network.

As Team Leader you will supervise a team of Security Officers on the floor, support patient escorts and high‑risk movements, and report to the Operations Coordinator to ensure policy compliance and continuous service delivery.

Qualifications

• 2 years of supervisor or shift-lead experience in security.
• Industry background in corrections, forensic health, airport security, or high-security sectors is favourable (not essential).
• Strong technical skills with CCTV, monitoring equipment; good computer literacy (MS Word/Excel).
• Operational capability including rostering, SOP compliance, and incident handling.
• Licensing & compliance: NSW 1AC Security Licence and a valid Driver's Licence.
• Health requirements: up-to-date Category A Vaccination per NSW Health guidelines (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Shift & Team Leadership: supervise day-to-day site operations and ensure clear shift handovers.
• Rosters & Administration: build and manage staff rosters and submit monthly operational reports.
• Training & Compliance: run site checks/audits, facilitate staff training and refresher sessions.
• Safety, Incidents & Relationships: handle incidents, coordinate reviews, and maintain client relationships.
