Job summary

Mercy Health Group in Yarrawonga is seeking a compassionate Food Service Assistant to support dinner and meal service in Mercy Place Yarrawonga. The role focuses on resident comfort, dietary adherence and safe kitchen operations within an aged care setting.

You will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and resident interaction while collaborating with kitchen staff to maintain a clean, efficient dining environment and respond to dietary needs with care and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Food handling certification or training is desirable.
• Experience in food service or kitchen, especially in aged care, is desirable.
• Knowledge of dietary needs for aged care.
• Good verbal communication with residents and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

• Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to interact effectively with residents and staff.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: Police check NDIS clearance
