• Storing food appropriately in temperature-controlled facilities
• Receiving and storing food and other supplies
• Completing documentation associated with food safety requirements
• Supporting catering for special functions and resident activities

About the role

As a Food Services Assistant, you will be an important member of our Food Services and Catering team, assisting with the day-to-day operation of our kitchen.

You will help prepare and present meals for patients and residents, ensuring food is prepared safely, hygienically and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with general kitchen and food preparation duties
• Preparing vegetables and other food for cooking

About you

We are looking for someone who is reliable, motivated and takes pride in their work.

You will have a genuine interest in food preparation and presentation, strong attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of food safety in a healthcare environment.

You will also:

Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen is desirable, but we are also interested in hearing from people who have a strong interest in food and the right attitude to learn.
