Findstaff's client in Melbourne seeks a Maintenance Fitter / Maintenance Engineer to perform preventative and breakdown maintenance in a modern food manufacturing setting. You will diagnose faults, repair equipment, and support production to maximise plant performance and minimise downtime.

The role requires trade qualifications and at least 3 years in similar environments, with experience in automated filling/packaging equipment and PLC-controlled systems.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified maintenance professional with minimum 3 years in manufacturing.
• Experience with automated filling and packaging equipment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Good understanding of PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems.

Responsabilités

• Carry out preventative maintenance across production and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Repair, service, and replace machinery components.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
