Job summary

Sanitarium Health & Wellbeing is seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Reliability team on the afternoon or night shift. The successful candidate will bring strong mechanical knowledge, reliability, and a proactive approach in a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing environment.

Applicants should have a Fitter Trade Certificate or equivalent and be capable of diagnosing faults, servicing industrial equipment, and supporting production start-ups.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant qualification – Fitter Trade Certificate or equivalent.
• Ideally have FMCG manufacturing experience.
• Be able to work independently across preventative maintenance schedules, breakdowns and other tasks.
• Be available for afternoon or night shift.
• Able to work additional shifts or weekends when required.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and ability to maintain, repair and install equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and respond to production breakdowns.
• Maintain and repair industrial equipment.
• Support production start-ups and equipment settings.
