Zusammenfassung

Melbourne Polytechnic is seeking a casual Teacher Floristry to deliver vocational education and training in floristry, supporting students to build practical skills and industry-ready competencies. You will plan, deliver and assess across diverse learning environments, aligning with curriculum, policies and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the Education Manager Horticulture, you will manage student progression, inclusive teaching, and resource development while maintaining industry currency

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated learner-centred teaching practice and sound understanding of adult learning principles
• Ability to plan, organise and deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across diverse learning environments
• Ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines, working independently or in a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engagement with students, colleagues and industry
• Ability to apply teaching and assessment strategies for diverse learner needs
• Commitment to continuous improvement and inclusive practice
• Ability to build industry networks to support student engagement and learning pathways
• Digital capability to support learning delivery, e-learning and record-keeping
• Commitment to health and safety, equity and inclusion principles
• Current Victorian Working with Children Check or equivalent where applicable

Aufgaben

• Plan, prepare, deliver and assess vocational education and training aligned with curriculum and assessment requirements
• Establish and maintain safe, inclusive learning environments and promote engagement
• Support learners through orientation, course selection, learning plans and referrals to support services
• Implement learning processes and support student participation, progression and wellbeing
• Develop and maintain high-quality teaching resources and assessment tools
• Maintain accurate attendance, progress and compliance documentation
• Participate in assessment validation, moderation and quality assurance activities
• Maintain contemporary floristry industry knowledge through professional development
• Collaborate with teams and contribute to professional practice and meetings
• Contribute to curriculum development and industry engagement in line with teaching classification requirements
