Job summary

Jet Aviation is seeking a Flight Line Technician to join the team at RAAF Base Pearce, Bullsbrook, WA. The role supports PC-21 aircraft operations for the Singapore Air Force and/or Australian Defence Force, with duties across flight-line servicing, maintenance and documentation.

The successful candidate will hold a Certificate II or IV in Aeroskills, work onsite, and may receive an annual salary from AUD 76,550 to 93,377 plus super, OT, a military bonus and relocation assistance where required.

Qualifications

• Certificate II/IV in Aeroskills required for Flight Line Technician roles.
• Must meet safety, quality and technical instruction requirements.
• Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Your Opportunity

Jet Aviation is seeking motivated Flight Line Technician with either a Certificate II or Certificate IV in Aeroskills to join the team at RAAF Base Pearce. This role supports PC-21 aircraft operations for the Singapore Air Force and/or the Australian Defence Force. Depending on your qualification and experience, you may contribute to aircraft handling, flight-line servicing, operational-level maintenance and minor hangar maintenance activities. This is a Full time postion with Annual Salary* from AUD$76,550 - $93,377 plus Super plus OT plus Military Bonus plus Relocation Assistant (if required).

• Please note that the annual salary is guided by the successful candidates qualifications and experience as stipulated by the business's Enterprise agreement.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will perform a broad range of flight-line servicing and operational-level maintenance activities in accordance with your qualification, authorisations and experience. Your responsibilities as a:

Certificate II Flight Line Technician may include, but not be limited too:

• Assisting with flight servicing and operational-level aircraft maintenance activities.
• Supporting qualified technicians with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks.
• Performing aircraft ground handling, towing and repositioning activities.
• Assisting with aircraft refuelling, aircraft washing and flight-line preparation.
• Participating in aircraft marshalling and flight-line activities as required.
• Maintaining effective foreign object debris (FOD) and tool-control practices.
• Ensuring tools, equipment and ground support equipment are maintained and serviceable.
• Completing required documentation and work records accurately.
• Following all safety, security, environmental and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Undertaking training and other duties as directed by the Flight Line Coordinator or supervisor.

Certificate IV Flight Line Technician may include but not be limited too:

• Performing scheduled and unscheduled operational-level aircraft maintenance and flight servicing.
• Supporting minor hangar maintenance activities where required.
• Conducting aircraft ground handling, towing, refuelling, role changes and repositioning.
• Participating in aircrew crewing activities, aircraft marshalling and flight-line planning.
• Supporting aircraft washing and associated corrosion-control inspections.
• Using current and applicable technical data to complete maintenance activities.
• Assisting with defect analysis, fault investigations and the resolution of technical issues.
• Completing maintenance documentation, work entries and certifications accurately and in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Maintaining effective FOD and tool-control practices and ensuring equipment and ground support equipment remain serviceable.
• Supporting the supervision, guidance and development of less-experienced team members where appropriate.
• Working in accordance with CASA regulations and all applicable safety, security, environmental and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Performing other duties as directed by the Flight Line Coordinator or supervisor.

• Hold a Certificate II in Aeroskills or higher qualification.

Certificate IV Flight Line Technician

• Hold a Certificate IV in Aeroskills.
• Relevant experience in flight-line servicing and operational-level aircraft maintenance.
• Knowledge of applicable CASA regulations, technical documentation, occupational health and safety and environmental requirements.
• The ability to interpret and apply approved technical data accurately.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to complete maintenance documentation to a high standard.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider maintenance team.
• A proactive approach to identifying defects, supporting investigations and maintaining safe work practices.
• A commercial driver's licence or previous commercial driving experience, which is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience with PC-9, PT6 or glass-cockpit aircraft would be advantageous.
• The flexibility to work varying schedules and outdoors in changing weather conditions.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role.
