Job summary

Rex Airlines in Wagga Wagga is seeking dedicated, full-time solo flight attendants to join our team. You will manage the entire cabin independently, ensuring passenger safety and comfort on every flight.

Responsibilities include equipment checks, in-flight announcements, meal service, and handling diverse cabin situations with professionalism. Extensive training is provided; flying experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Residency
• Be 18 years of age or over
• Be no taller than 173 cm
• Holds a current First Aid Certificate HLTAID011
• Holds a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate — within last 3 years
• IELTS overall 5.5
• ASIC eligibility and police security check
• Be able to demonstrate at least 3 years of education or equivalent work history in AU/NZ/UK/USA
• Be able to swim fully clothed without aid

Rex is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as full time solo flight attendants based in Wagga Wagga. We are looking for people who are:

• Independent and self-reliant: As solo Flight Attendants, you will be responsible for managing the entire cabin independently, ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the flight.
• Customer-focused: As a solo Flight Attendant you will manage your own cabin and have the opportunity to provide a caring and personalised service, whilst travelling to some of Australia’s most unique destinations.
• Detail-oriented and safety-conscious: you will need to manage in-flight services while maintaining a high standard of safety and compliance with aviation regulations.

The role offers a great work/life balance along with a competitive remuneration and includes working on weekends, public holidays, shift work (which includes early starts & late finishes), and some nights spent away from home.

Some of the duties you will perform are equipment/security checks, in-flight announcements, in-flight food & beverage service, cleaning duties as well as handling various situations that may occur in the cabin, on your own.

• Be 18 years of age or over
• Be an Australian Citizen or Hold Australian Permanent Residency
• Be no taller than 173 cm
• Hold a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
• Hold a Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate - completed within the last 3 years
• Be able to demonstrate that you have:
• Completed a minimum 3 years of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand, or
• Worked in Australia or New Zealand for at least 3 of the last 5 years, or
• Worked in the UK, Ireland or USA for at least 3 of the last 5 years, or
• Completed the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with an overall grade of 5.5.
• Be able to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) which involves a police security check
• Be passionate about your role and a commitment to delivering exceptional and consistent customer service
• Be able to swim fully clothed without aid or floating device (a swim assessment is required)
• Be flexible and adaptable; working hours will vary and include working during holiday times and peak periods
• Have a high level of personal presentation
• Have a natural willingness to please and care for people

Extensive training will be provided â flying experience is not required.
