Job summary

LiveHire Limited is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Pool Lifeguard to ensure the safety of swimmers at our aquatic facility. You will monitor pool areas, respond to emergencies, and uphold rules while delivering friendly customer service.

Applicants must hold a current lifeguard qualification, First Aid and CPR, and Working with Children Check. Flexible weekend hours and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• Current Pool Lifeguard qualification or equivalent certification
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Strong swimming ability and physical fitness
• Excellent observation and situational awareness skills
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Availability to work flexible part-time hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Working with Children Check or equivalent clearance (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

• Supervise all aquatic activities to ensure safety
• Monitor pool areas vigilantly and respond to emergencies
• Enforce facility rules and regulations professionally
• Perform water rescues and administer first aid/CPR
• Conduct regular safety checks of pool area and equipment
• Maintain records of incidents and pool conditions
• Assist with setup and pack-down of pool equipment
• Provide exceptional customer service to patrons
• Collaborate with team and facility management
• Participate in regular training sessions and drills
