Job summary

Hireup is an online platform and community in Australia connecting people with disability to local support workers. As a support worker, you will actively seek suitable shifts, ensuring clients stay in control of their care and funding.

Specialised support roles include high-intensity tasks, infection control, personal care, and community engagement. You’ll be paid according to the disability services award, with shifts across weekdays, weekends, and public holidays, plus paid training and

Qualifications

Experience in specialised support.
Ability to follow specialised support plans for clients.
Solid understanding of high-intensity supports (e.g. Peg Feeding, Catheter care).
Implement safe infection control and prevention.
Exceptional communication to report concerns or risks.
Confident working with limited supervision.
Understanding of the disability sector, NDIS, and Hireup's provider requirements.
Demonstrate adaptability, flexibility and passion.

Responsibilities

Provide care and support to clients with complex needs as directed by their support plan.
Implement safe infection control and identify risk within role.
Assist with transport, shopping, personal care, and social/community activities.
Follow complex support plans and adjust to client goals.
Report any concerns or new risks to the team.
