Job summary

Ability Action Australia, a national NDIS provider, is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a flexible community role across Ballina, Byron and Lismore regions. The position offers full-time or part-time options, with a base in Ashmore, QLD and a mix of home and community work.

You’ll join a values‑driven team, receive regular clinical supervision, PD allowances, and opportunities to tailor your caseload while delivering person-centred care under NDIS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• A proactive, client-centred mindset with a desire to innovate and grow
• A genuine passion for working in the disability and community sector
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• An interest in paediatrics, complex needs, or a preferred caseload area

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload aligned with your areas of interest
• Conduct clinical assessments across emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical functions
• Develop individualised, evidence-based therapy goals and interventions
• Provide environmental modification advice for homes, schools, workplaces and residential settings
• Recommend and facilitate Assistive Technology (AT) to promote independence
• Stay compliant with current legislation and NDIS guidelines
• Work collaboratively within a supportive, multidisciplinary team
