Job summary

Belconnen Physiotherapy Clinic is building a casual pool of sports trainers to provide on-field on-field coverage for fixtures and events across Canberra and the ACT. Shifts are offered on a game-by-game or roster basis, giving trainers flexible, varied casual work.

Qualified applicants with Sports Trainer accreditation, First Aid & CPR, and WWVP registration are encouraged to apply; physiotherapists are welcome too for diverse opportunities across AFL, rugby, netball, basketball, and soccer.

Qualifications

• Sports Trainer accreditation or equivalent.
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate.
• National Police Certificate.
• Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration for the ACT.
• Reliable transport to travel between venues across the ACT.
• Evening, weekend and interstate game-day shifts available.

Responsibilities

• Provide pitch-side / court-side sports trainer coverage across a variety of codes (e.g., AFL, rugby league/union, netball, basketball, soccer).
• Deliver first-response injury assessment and on-field/court treatment.
• Manage strapping, taping, and basic injury management.
• Liaise with coaches, officials, and medical staff on athlete welfare.
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate treatment records.
• Travel to different venues across Canberra and the ACT as rostered.
