Job summary

Uniting Victoria and Tasmania is seeking casual educators to support metropolitan Melbourne services. You’ll join a pool and fill shifts across Berwick and other areas, working with diverse teams to create safe, engaging early learning environments.

You’ll help respond to children’s interests, routines and needs, while building strong relationships and supporting play-based learning. Casual loading and staff discounts enhance the role.

Qualifications

• ACECQA-approved qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Experience in kindergarten or early childhood settings.
• Child-centred approach and understanding of learning and development.
• Ability to adapt, communicate and contribute within different teams.
• National Child Safety Training or ability to obtain prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Build warm, responsive relationships with children.
• Support play-based learning and children’s participation.
• Contribute to observations, planning and documentation as required.
• Collaborate and adapt to different services and routines.
• Promote safety, wellbeing, inclusion and belonging.
