Job summary

Viva Leisure’s Club Lime CISAC in Canberra invites a Café Attendant to join its busy café hub. You’ll craft coffees, serve food and drinks, and keep the venue buzzing with warm, welcoming energy for members and guests.

Qualifications

• Current First Aid and CPR certification (desirable)
• Food Handling Safety Course (Do Food Safely Statement of Attainment or equivalent)
• Strong attention to detail in daily tasks and café operations
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment
• Proven experience handling customer enquiries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and empathy
• Commitment to promoting the café in a positive manner while delivering prompt, high-quality customer service
• Exceptional customer service skills with a member-focused approach
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Competence in the use of computerised point-of-sale and register systems
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within a café or hospitality environment

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Café SOPs and organisational policies in accordance with training provided
• Deliver exceptional customer service to all members and patrons, both in person and over the phone
• Take and process customer food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
• Operate the café register and handle payments responsibly
• Prepare and serve food and beverages, including making coffees to standard
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic café environment by cleaning tables, equipment, and utensils
• Assist with stocktakes and the organisation, receipt, and storage of new stock
