Job summary

R&K Bulk Logistics Pty Ltd ATF R&K Bulk Haulage in Jondaryan, QLD, seeks an experienced Tyre Fitter to join our automotive operations on a full-time basis. You will maintain tyres for our fleet, balance and align wheels, and keep accurate records to ensure roadworthy vehicles.

The role requires tyre fitting qualifications or hands-on heavy-vehicle experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work well in a team while meeting maintenance schedules.

Qualifications

• Qualification or certification in tyre fitting or automotive trades, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Proven tyre fitter experience with commercial or heavy vehicles.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of tyres, suspension and safety requirements.
• Ability to operate tyre fitting equipment and balancing/alignment tools.
• Ability to read work orders and technical specs accurately.
• Attention to detail and strong health and safety focus.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Physical fitness to lift heavy objects and work in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Remove, inspect and fit tyres on commercial and heavy vehicles to industry standards.
• Balance and align tyres for optimal performance and safety.
• Perform routine tyre maintenance, pressure checks, repairs and replacements.
• Identify tyre damage, wear patterns and safety issues and report them.
• Maintain accurate records of tyre fittings, repairs and replacements.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with regulations.
• Operate and maintain tyre fitting equipment and tools.
• Support fleet maintenance schedule to minimise downtime.
