Job summary
SkillQuest Solutions seeks an experienced Fleet Manager for a busy transport and haulage business in Cairns, Queensland. You will oversee day-to-day fleet operations, maintenance, and delivery scheduling, while working closely with drivers, dispatch, customers and suppliers.
The role requires a Diploma in Logistics or related field and at least 1 year of fleet management experience. Unrestricted Australian working rights are required. Salary ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 plus super.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Logistics or related discipline (or equivalent).
- Minimum 1 year in fleet management or transport operations.
- Knowledge of fleet maintenance and defect management.
- Experience coordinating transport schedules, routes and deliveries.
- Unrestricted working rights to work full time in Australia.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day operation and utilisation of the vehicle fleet.
- Organise servicing, maintenance and repairs to optimise reliability.
- Monitor vehicle condition, inspections and defect reporting.
- Coordinate delivery schedules with dispatch teams, drivers and customers.
- Maintain fleet records including servicing, fuel, and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with road transport and WHS requirements.
